Welcome New Staff — Brant & Sue Yount

Updated: Oct 20, 2021

Our newest staff members, Brant and Sue Yount, bring a unique background and set of experiences to School Ministries Ohio.

As an attorney for 34 years, Sue will provide legal support to School Ministries OH and program. Brant is a chemist, chemical engineer and archery coach. Both have many personal and professional contacts throughout the state.

One of unique ways God is providing for their needs is through raising cattle at a small farm in southeastern Ohio. They have a growing herd of Belted Galloway beef cattle and plan to offer grass-fed healthy beef in a few years. They also are in the planning stages of building a vacation rental near their home in Hocking Hills for small group retreats and family gatherings.

Sue met Executive Director, Jenni Miller, in 2014 through a phone call to work on the Released Time Bible education law. Sue was working at a large Columbus law firm with her practice mainly serving public school districts across Ohio, and Jenni was given Sue’s name as a resource.

They have continued the connection over the last six years. When Sue and Brant were considering early retirement to work in ministry full time, School Ministries Ohio presented itself as a great fit.

“Released Time is a great way to bring the Gospel message and life-changing support to children.” - Sue Yount, School Ministries Ohio

Married 30 years, the Younts have 3 children (Lydia, Caleb, and Rachel), and their oldest daughter is married and relocated in Missouri. They bring their individual talents to the team — Brant as a creative visionary, and Sue with legal and organizational skills.

Their primary interest is to share the message of hope for a life abundant and eternal to children and families through the ministry of Released Time Bible Education throughout the state of Ohio.

Welcome to the team, Brant and Sue!
